FFK is transitioning to a book and Instagram format, where I will be transferring content from the blog into new digital and print books (a ‘greatest hits,’ dessert collection, and Korean saga book), and shifting both new and old recipes to my Instagram account (@flashfictionkitchen). This will entail a gradual transition away from the website, which I’ll likely wind down within a year. So if you’re not already, please follow me on Insta and keep in touch there! I love to hear from readers and cooks and want this community to continue to thrive.
In the meantime, I’m happy to announce that my ‘greatest hits’ cookbook is now available for purchase on Amazon (design by the incomparable Isa Crosta, isacrosta.com):
–Here, as a paperback for $17.99
–Here, as a reflowable Kindle e-book for $9.99 (easy to read, but less photo/design-heavy)
–Here, as a print replica Kindle e-book for $9.99 (nearly identical to the paperback with full photos & design, but may be harder to read/require zooming in on smaller devices)
Also available as a PDF for $8.99 here:
(NB: You must click “RETURN TO MERCHANT” at the bottom of the page after you checkout to be redirected back to the page to download the PDF. If you have any issues with this, please contact me.)
Recipes include: bagels, blueberry pancakes, cassava cake, cassava bread, sweet potato & cassava gnocchi, cheesy noodles, carnitas, and more! All AIP and Paleo, and many vegan recipes as well (Full list available in the Amazon preview.)
Yes this is a lot of formats, but I wanted to give you options! I’ve had to take down some of the blog recipes to meet Amazon’s content guidelines, so if you’re in need of a particular recipe and don’t want to get the whole book or are waiting for it to arrive, just DM me and I’ll see what I can do. If you do happen to buy one of the books and enjoy it though, I would really appreciate a kind review. (Who knew how much work cookbooks are…novel-ing is going to seem a breeze after this. 😉 )
In the meantime, I’m hoping to dive into some (three…four??) novel projects with renewed vigor. Amidst these changing, turbulent times I think our world sorely needs a return to good story, and I’d like to spend some time getting down to the very essence of it. I’ve really enjoyed these past five (!) years of food bloggery and flash fiction-ing, and I hope to stay connected to this community of lovely, positive people. I have a lot of faith in the energy I perceive from you all and a strong sense of creative, well-lived lives. So give me a shout anytime – and here’s to new experiments and adventures!
Much ❤️ always,
